Last few months
have been very busy. I spent a week in denver on a business trip retro fitting the data center there. Working, getting a lot of stuff done around the house and out in the yard. I’m getting ready to buy a house in a bit, its time to talk to a real estate agent in the coming weeks as I have the funds to purchase a forclosed house or if I wait till the end of the year or so I can put down 10% on a min 5 bedroom, 2 bath 2k sq ft house. My job is going smoothly and I’ll be having several more trips out of state this year (1 to SF, Cali for VMworld09, probably 1 more to denver later this year to finish up the retrofit and install a ton of more equipment).
My hosting business hasnt hardly gotten of the ground, simply because I dont have time to manage it or look for clients. Right now I’m not focusing on it at all, I have a few VM’s hosting stuff but thats about it, its bringing in no money right now.
My oldest Uncle passed away suddently last week, heart valve gave out with no warning. The memorial is today so that shall be interesting, seeing people I havent seen since I was a kid.
One of my good friends from highschool stopped by the other day, we chatted for a few hours, I’m glad i took the route I did, with not doing much college and jumping right into IT and doing as well as I am. Simply because a lot of graduates from my HS class are going to have a hard time finding a job right now in their fields due to the economy. When Co-workers and I get frustrated at work, we just have to stand back and be glad we have a job still in the economy
