Guild wars:Eye of the North

31 August, 2007 (18:18) | Guild Wars

Yep, GW:EN is here.  So far its pretty awesome.  My 1 complaint I do have is that they make you do so many solo quests its ridiculous.  How am I gonna fight a lvl 28 rit boss with dissonance with just my monk?
Otherwise its pretty awesome, I’m still a long way from finishing the game [...]

Summer break

29 August, 2007 (08:48) | Cert Prep, Computers, General

Finally summer break is here. After doing 4 quarters (1 year) of intense college in computer networking I’ve got a month off. I just fell short of going from 0 certifications to MCSA in 1 year (I still have to pass 70-291) to be able to say that. I’ll be taking a [...]

GW:EN Preview Event

26 August, 2007 (21:00) | Games, Guild Wars

I must say, GW:EN is AWESOME.  Its a definite expansion and upgrade.  The graphics are absolutely amazing, the partial effects, heat distortion from fires, fog and haze, reflections of walls, water etc. are astounding.  I dont feel like linking the pics to my blog, I already linked them on my guilds forums, here is the [...]

Summer quarter is almost over with. Less than a week away from a almost month break off. Plus GW:EN is coming out next friday with the preview weekend this weekend. I’ve now put in a total of 86 hours of substitute teaching over this summer (1/3 of the quarter total) and I’ll [...]

Getting to the end

15 August, 2007 (13:14) | Computers, General

Yep, its getting to less than 2 weeks left of this quarter.  We finished up 70-294 (designing network infrastructure services) and half way through 70-297 (designing Active Directory infrastructure).  I’ve been subbing on and off over this summer, I’ve worked 62 hours so far, with another 24 hours next week when I sub for another [...]

internship

8 August, 2007 (20:22) | Computers, Hardware, Networking

I’ve spend just about every free minute this week doing an internship at my church…  Put in almost 30 hours in just a few days, doing computer work.  W’e’re installing a network, for a live streaming interactive classroom for SIBI bible college.  Monday I helped punch down (approx 24)  datajacks, tuesday I just about finished [...]

opportunity

4 August, 2007 (11:50) | Cert Prep, Computers, General

I may get the opportunity to help design, setup, configure and maintain a network through my church starting tomorrow.  The technical directory of the new satellite classroom for Sunset International Bible Institute is wanting my help in setting up a DC, configure it and figure out the details.  Since I found out Thursday, I’ve drawn [...]
